Kevin Andrew Gass, 32, Newburgh, Ind.

Kevin Andrew Gass, 32, of Newburgh, Ind., died Oct. 24, 2021. Mr. Gass graduated from Castle High School in 2007, and he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Southern Indiana. He worked as a computer network technician for Member Track. He was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed flying drones, riding his bike, playing computer games and photography. Born March 7, 1989, in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., he was the son of Charles “Marty” (Carol) Gass and Christine (Greg) Thull Ortmann.

He is survived by two sisters: Rachael Ortmann and Crystal (Matt) Day; two brothers: Christopher Gass and Joseph Ortmann; three stepbrothers: Jon Ortmann, Mike Ortmann and Alex Burton; grandmothers: Judy Hulskotter and Betsy Ortmann; grandfather: Harold Thull; aunts and uncles: Shawnna and Phil Gerding, Lynda and Jeff Merrill, Jon Stephen Gass, Charlotte and Mike Romano, Pauline and Mark Dowell and Jennifer Eckert; three cousins: Brian (Megan) Gerding, Morgan Merrill and Kaden Merrill; and many other cousins and family members.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Charles and Geraldine Gass and Larry Hulskotter; and an aunt: Lisa Gass.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral services at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Boone Funeral home, 5330 Washington Ave., in Evansville, Ind., officiated by the Rev. Larry Lewis. Burial will be private at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Vann Avenue Baptist Church, 2608 Vann Ave., Evansville, Ind., 47714.
