Kenneth L. Rhoads, 82, of Eureka died June 2, 2017. Mr. Rhoads attended Eureka High School and later served with both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from a long career as a construction worker. He was a 60-year member of the American Legion. Born Nov. 18, 1934, in Clayton, he was the son of the late Clifford and Esther (Fredricks) Rhoads.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: June (Hodges) Rhoads of Eureka, whom he married in April 1957 at the Sacred Heart Church in Eureka; two sons: Jeffrey (Chris) Rhoads of St. Clair and Tod (Elaine) Rhoads of Cedar Hill; a sister: Mary Ann Oberkramer of Rolla; two grandchildren: Dalton and Rachel Rhoads; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Nieburg-Vitt Thiebes Funeral Home in Pacific.
