Kenneth Howard Peebles, 77, of Crystal City died Oct. 4, 2014, in Crystal City. Mr. Peebles graduated in 1954 from Crystal City High School. He was an experienced computer programmer who retired as a supervisor at Reichold Chemical Co. in Valley Park. He served as a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Army. Born Dec. 10, 1936, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Harry and Theresa (Kastner) Peebles. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years: Carol Ann (Miller) Peebles.
He is survived by two children: Michael Peebles of Dauphin Island, Ala., and Sandra (Nick) Lawson of Denver, Colo; and two grandchildren: Michael and Amanda Peebles. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Terri Vanderboss; two brothers: Wayne Peebles and Jimmy Peebles; and four sisters: Wanda Beckham, Evelyn Vessel, Lavern Wright and Shirley Frame.
A memorial service will be held for family in Colorado. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or any animal care charity. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
