Kenneth Allen Hudson Sr., 81, of Festus died June 16, 2017, at the Missouri Veterans’ Home in Cape Girardeau. Mr. Hudson was the owner and operator of Kenny’s Auto Sales in Festus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. Born April 15, 1936, in Perryville, he was the son of the late Gertrude (Schindler) and Percy Hudson.
He is survived by his wife: Monique (Boehm) Hudson; four daughters: Sylvie (Lloyd) Dennis of Festus, Linda (John Carter) Hudson of Cadet, Renee Hudson of Farmington and Denise (Terry) Henson of Festus; a son: Kenny (Clyda Williams) Hudson Jr. of Festus; a sister: Sylvia (Sylvan) Lappy of Creve Coeur; a sister-in-law: Lorena May Hudson of Lesterville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Harold Hudson, Donald (the late Sylvia) Hudson and Raymond (the late Peggy) Hudson.
A memorial gathering is at 5 p.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
