Kelly Marie Ramsey, 53, of Festus died July 19, 2018, at Barnes Medical Center in St. Louis. Mrs. Ramsey was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a music teacher at Festus Elementary School and a member of First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City. Born April 26, 1965, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Marie (Lawson) and James Stanley Curtis.
She is survived by her husband: James C. Ramsey; two sons: Mason James Ramsey and Michael Curtis Ramsey; two sisters: Valenda Curtis of Steelville and Vanessa (Charles) Reeder of Annapolis, Md.; her parents-in-law: Judy and James E. Ramsey of St. Louis; a sister-in-law: Sally (Anthony) Barbieri; two nieces: Julia Barbieri and Madeline Barbieri; four nephews: Jacob Reeder, Aaron Reeder, Anthony Barbieri and Nicholas Barbieri; and numerous family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Sandra Ramsey.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 27, at First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City, 107 N. Truman Blvd., in Crystal City. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at the church, officiated by Pastor Charles McLain. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
