Kathryn Ann (Bush) Douglas, 73, of Affton died Aug. 4, 2022, in St. Louis. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed attending her family’s games and activities and taking her grandchildren on new adventures. She will be remembered for her smile, kindness and fun-loving spirit. Her Rice Krispie treats and French onion dip were favorites at family gatherings. Born Jan. 23, 1949, in St. Charles, she was the daughter of the late David and Alice (Brown) Bush.
She is survived by a son: Tom (Dawn) Douglas of House Springs; three grandchildren: Tommy, Tyler and Maddie of House Springs; a sister: A. Davene Thurby of Chesterfield; three nieces and nephews: Jim (Gia) Thurby of Fenton, Jessie (Jeff Brandhorst) Eimer of Villa Ridge and Jimmy (Jessica) Eimer of Manchester; nine great-nieces and nephews: Andy (Tori), David, Anna, Zack, Trinity, Colton, Landon, Evelyn and Alaina; and many bonus grandchildren and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two siblings: Dave “Sonny” Bush Jr. and Shirley Bush.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4696 Notre Dame Lane, in House Springs. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
