Kathleen Simpson, 93, of Imperial died Aug. 23, 2020. Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker and a devoted member of Friendship Assembly of God Church. She loved cooking and baking. Born May 14, 1927, in Glen Alum, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Richard and Minnie (Tolar) Miller.
She is survived by her husband: John C. Simpson; a son: Richard (Kim) Simpson of Arnold; a daughter: Geretha “Geri” Simpson of St. Louis County; three grandchildren: Melissa (the late Ryan) Falvey of Barnhart, Jennifer Simpson of Arnold and Austin (April) Simpson of St. Louis; and three great-grandchildren: Peyton, Taylor and Aubrey Falvey of Barnhart.
She was preceded in death by five siblings: Ruby, Mildred, Louise, Raymond and Jim.
Funeral services were held Aug. 28 at Kutis Funeral Home in south St. Louis County. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
