Kathleen Ruth “Kate” Schwalbert, 85, of Imperial died Sept. 2, 2021. Mrs. Schwalbert was known for her kindness and compassion, and loved spending time with her family, especially grandchildren. She was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Mary Louise (Wolf) and Frank J. Noonan. She was preceded in death by her husband: George S. Schwalbert.
She is survived by three children: Michael (Diana) Schwalbert, Steve (Kelly) Schwalbert and Laura (Jeff) Kreitler; eight grandchildren: Andrew (Lauren) Schwalbert, Brian Chura, Lauren Schwalbert, Josh (Brandi) Schwalbert, Kadie (Greg) Laux, Molly (Chris) Barnes, Jacob Kreitler and Kelsey (Stefan) Wilkes; and seven great-grandchildren: Savannah, Vivian, Zeth, Grayson, Jackson, Eli and Tobias.
Private burial will take place in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Brothers of Mary at Vianney. Arrangements were under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold.
