Kathleen R. Pirtle, 71, of Arnold died April 30, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Pirtle was a certified nursing assistant in the home health care field for 25 years. She was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, especially Yadier Molina, and she excelled at board games like Scrabble. Born March 31, 1950, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Albert and June (Fritsch) Deschu.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years: Donald J. Pirtle; three children: Scott R. Pirtle, Danielle R. (Isaac) Mosley and Jeffrey D. Pirtle; two grandchildren: Kyle and Kendall; a brother: Richard (Jane) Deschu; and numerous family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at Hoffmeister Funeral Home, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Friday, May 7, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Hoffmeister Funeral Home.
