Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Louise Westhoff, 79, Webster Groves

Kathleen “Kathy” Louise Westhoff, 79, of Webster Groves, died July 28, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Westhoff was a secretary at De Soto High School for 25 years and then worked for the Jefferson County Circuit Clerk’s Office for 12 years. She moved to Webster Groves to be closer to her family and become a longtime caregiver for her “adopted” granddaughter, Audrey Dickey. She enjoyed drawing, painting, decorating cakes and assisting grandkids with costumes, parties and school projects. She was known for her imagination, generosity, kind words, smile and enthusiasm. She enjoyed cheering her grandchildren on at their games and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan. She was a passionate advocate for the rights and wellbeing of all people. Born Jan. 9, 1947, in Philadelphia, Penn., she was the daughter of the late Denzil Earl and Louise Evelyn (Babb) Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Richard “Dick” Westhoff.

She is survived by a son: Matt Westhoff of De Soto; two daughters: Wendy (Michael) Zerega of Webster Groves and Jennifer Wilson of O’Fallon; four grandchildren: Andrew Zerega, Elsie Zerega, Ben Zerega and Hayden Wilson; three siblings: John (Barbara) Myers of Belleville, Ill., Bonnie (Merlyn) Rieffer of De Soto and Betsy Henry of De Soto; and a sister-in-law: Joan Myers of Greensburg, Ind.

She also was preceded in death by a brother: Earl “Sammy” Myers.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 593 S. Third St. in De Soto. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Equine Assisted Therapy or Tanner Boynton Memorial Foundation or BJC Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
