Kari Jo Hartmann Wallen, 35, of Collinsville, Ill., formerly of Festus, died March 23, 2019, in Collinsville. Ms. Wallen was a singer/entertainer; she loved music, singing and animals, especially her two cats. Born Jan. 23, 1984, in St Louis, she was the daughter of Gary Joseph and Brenda Jo (Armstrong) Hartmann of Festus; a sister: Jamie Jo (Michael) Patrick of Hillsboro; her grandmother: Nina Hartmann of Festus; and two nephews: Dylan Hartmann and Cody Patrick. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Gilbert Hartmann and Virginia Deason.
A memorial gathering is scheduled for 3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Humane society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Ave., St. Louis, 63110. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
