Karen S. Krewson, 74, of Hillsboro died Sept. 12, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Krewson was a certified nursing assistant and emergency medical technician and retired from the Defense Mapping Agency. Born Dec. 6, 1941, in Carso, she was the daughter of the late Opal Ulrich.
She is survived by her husband: Martin W. Krewson Jr.; seven children: Martin “Buzz” (Kari) Krewson III of Dittmer, Bill (JoAnn) Dunn Jr. of Dittmer, Cindy (Steve) Knaup of Germany; Scot (Michelle) Dunn of Dittmer, Chris (Cindy) Krewson of Hillsboro, Lori (Allen) Boldt of Kirkwood and Kelly (Raymond) Clark of Hillsboro; 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., De Soto. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Church of God Faith of Abraham in Morse Mill, officiated by Bill Dunn III. Burial will be at Church of God Faith of Abraham Cemetery in Morse Mill. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
