McLoud, Justin

Justin Brian McLoud, 32, of Festus died April 16, 2020. Cpl. McLoud was a proud U.S. Marine of the 3/5 Kilo Darkhorse Batallion. He served three tours of duty in Iraq, Afghanistan and 31st MEU of the Pacific, and received the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in the line of duty. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all outdoor activities, and was a gifted woodworker and craftsman. He was born Sept. 22, 1987, in St. Louis, the son of Karri (Weiss) and James L. McLoud Jr.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife: Alaina McLoud; a son: Desmond Allistar McLoud; three siblings: Noreen C. (Ronald) McLoud-Smith, Andrew (Jamie) Murphy and Michael Patrick Murphy; as well as many other family, friends and brothers in service.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank Polys, Bonnie Kincaid (Horn), James McLoud Sr., and Jane Barton.

Funeral services were private. Memorials may be made to the Semper Fi Fund, Camp Hope or the Marine Focus Group. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
