June E. Gebhardt, 94, of Festus died June 28, 2017 at Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing in Crystal City. Mrs. Gebhardt was a member of Our Lady Catholic Church. Born June 7, 1923, in Terre Haute, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Christina and Carl Hansen. She was preceded in death by her husband: Cecil Gebhardt.
She is survived by a son: Kenneth Gebhardt of Festus; two daughters-in-law: Denise Gebhardt and Janice Gebhardt, both of Festus; five grandchildren: Cheryl (Brian) Story, Michelle Gebhardt, John David (Terri) Harris, Kacie Gebhardt and Alexandria (Alec) Hall and five great-grandchildren: Kirsten Story, Wyatt Self, Ethan Self, Leslie (Luke) Elledge and Brian Harris.
She was preceded in death by a son: Martin “Marty” Gebhardt; a daughter: Linda (the late Harvey) Harris; and 10 siblings.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, at Our Lady Catholic Church, 1550 St. Mary’s Lane, in Festus, officiated by Father Jeffery Maassen. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
