Julie Stark, 57, of Festus died May 27, 2021, at her home. Ms. Stark had worked as a stocker at the Twin City Walmart. She will be remembered as a strong and independent woman who cherished her family. Born Sept. 21, 1963, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Joy C. (Coalson) McIver and the Henry I. Hilderbrand Jr.
She is survived by two sons: Jesse Stark and Cody Stark, both of Festus; two grandchildren: Daxx and Londyn Stark; her former husband: Dale Stark of Festus; a sister: Carole Bucher of Dittmer; two brothers: William T. (Deena) Carter Jr. of Arnold and Henry “Hank” Hilderbrand III of St. Clair; two caregivers: Cheryl Moon and Casey Akins; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, cousins and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a sister: Sharon “Sherry” Crader.
A memorial service was held June 1 at First Christian Church of Hematite. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
