Julia “Nan” Hensley, 84, of Festus died Sept. 20, 2015, in Farmington. Mrs. Hensley was a retired LPN and a member of First Baptist Church in Farmington. Born July 8, 1931, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late George Everett Hurley and Mary Lillie (Holt) Hensley Baker.
She is survived by her husband: Norman Arthur Hensley; two sons: Kevin (Allyson) Hensley and Mark (Boneta) Hensley, both of Farmington; three daughters: Ellen (David) Stippey of Florissant, Kathy (Burton) Stewart of Imperial and Carolyn (Keith) Osterberg of Herculaneum; 10 grandchildren: Kyle Osterberg, James Osterberg, Thomas Osterberg, Jennifer (Stewart) Johnson, David Stewart, Benjamin Hensley, Amanda (Hensley) Ellis, Sarah Hensley and Joel Hensley; and eight great-grandchildren: Samantha Hensley, Eleanor Ellis, Kai Osterberg, Hikari Osterberg, Catharine Caudill, Reghan Osterberg, Liam Osterberg and Zachary Osterberg.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Colin Osterberg; her stepfather, Rollin Baker; and a sister: Georgeanne (George) Taylor.
Visitation is scheduled at 1 p.m. and a funeral seervice at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Taylor Funeral Home, 111 East Liberty St., in Farmington, officiated by Pastor Bill Miller. Burial is in the Sandy Baptist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home.
