Judy Ann Blaylock, 45, of Calvert City, Ky., formerly of Hillsboro, died Sept. 29, 2015, at her home. Ms. Blaylock, a 1988 graduate of Grandview High School, was taking college classes, pursuing a degree in law enforcement. She had worked as a corrections security officer in Kentucky. She loved children and would take in anybody who needed a place to stay. Born Sept. 30, 1969, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, she was the daughter of Charlotta Jean Blaylock of Calvert City and the late James Blaylock.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children: Kayla Blaylock of De Soto and Jamie Blaylock of Calvert City; a sister: Sandy (Ken) Furgerson of Festus; two nieces: Heather Johnston and Sara Shroeder; two uncles: William Blaylock and Jerry Blaylock; and two aunts: Joyce Blaylock and Terri Jestus. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Mary Jestus, William Bryant and Hattie Blaylock; three uncles: Donnie Jestus, Phil Jestus and Nelson Blaylock; and one aunt: Ruth Blaylock.
A funeral service was held Oct. 4 at Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home in Benton, Ky., officiated by the Rev. Betty Griffith. Memorials may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses. Arrangements were under the direction of Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home.
