Judith “Judy” Jackson, 71, of De Soto died Dec. 4, 2020, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan. Ms. Jackson was a homemaker. Born Dec. 17, 1948, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Alvera “Vera” (Bressler) and Charles R. Chapman Sr.
She is survived by four daughters: Laura (Duane) Sargent of De Soto, Beth (Philip) Blanford of Richwoods, Donna (Randy) Conrad of Isabella and Danielle Jackson of Belleville, Ill.; four sisters: Pat Wagner-Holt of De Soto; Alice Suiter of De Soto, Arlene Parton of Phoenix, Ariz., and Charlene Wougamon of Gorham, Ill.; three brothers: Charles R. “Chuck” Chapman of New York City, Robert “Bob” Chapman of Arnold and Harold Chapman of New York City; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Joseph E. Jackson; a sister: Mary Northcutt; and three brothers: William R. “Bill” Chapman, Ronald Chapman and Russ Chapman.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto., officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home
