Judith Ann Gracey Rees, 67, of De Soto died June 18, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Rees was the owner and a teacher at Center Stage Dance Studio in De Soto. Born June 14, 1955, in Omaha, Neb., she was the daughter of the
Earl J. and Jo Ann (Corr) Gracey. She was preceded in death by her husband: Douglas Alan Rees.
She is survived by a son: Jason (Amanda Jane) Rees of De Soto; two siblings: Jack (Rosemary) Gracey of Omaha and David Gracey of De Soto; a brother-in-law: Richard Failla of Omaha; five grandchildren: Brody Rees, Chaley Rees, Gavin Grass, Carson Grass and Ava Grass; three nephews: Jeff Failla of Omaha, Matt Failla of Omaha and Tyler Gracey of De Soto; a niece: Melissa Failla of Omaha; and special friends Lisa, Mike, Jenny and Molly Winkelman and Austin and Brenden West. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Jenny Rees; and a sister-in-law: Linda Failla.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home. 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Steve Richardson. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
