Judith A. Mattingly, 78, of Arnold died June 10, 2022, in St. Louis. Mrs. Mattingly was a retired seamstress, quiltmaker and bar owner. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed camping, fishing, puzzles, coloring and spending time with family. She loved dogs, including her dog, Daisy Mae; her late dog, Josie; and her grandchildren’s late dog, Mia. Born Jan. 25, 1944, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Loretta N. Kocian and Jules B. Huels.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years: Joseph M. Mattingly.

She is survived by four children: Christy Mattingly of Arnold and Christy’s boyfriend: Sam Kroll, Anthony B. Geiler, Tracy L. Smith and Charles R. Mattingly Sr.; two siblings: Janice (the late Larry) Lewis of Arnold and Barb (Rich) Regna of Arnold; seven grandchildren: Chase Mattingly of St. Louis, Ashley Smith, Cassie Ovall of High Ridge, Elan Ovall Jr., Crystal Kulhnam, Amy and JB; and six great-grandchildren: Maylee Kulhnam, Keria Smith and Christiaan, Kaiden, Damon and Brian Jr.

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Monday, June 13, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
