Joyce Lynn Carlson, 59, Festus

Joyce Lynn Carlson, 59, of Festus died Oct. 11, 2022, in Crystal City. Mrs. Carlson worked as a graphic designer for many years. Born Oct. 17, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of Arlene Carlson and the late James Carlson.

She is survived by a son: Christopher Todd (Courtney Christina Waage) Carlson; a daughter: Lisa Niewoehner; her life mate: Kati Engels; three sisters: Rebecca (Thomas) Dunphy, Sarah Carlson and Virgalea Wiles; a brother: James Henley; and seven nieces and nephews: Victor, Jesse, Jennifer, Caroline, Owen, Angela, and Erin.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Suzanne Barrilleaux; and a brother: Patrick Henley.

A memorial service will be held later. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in Festus.
