Joyce Ann (Paradise) Summers, 87, Herculaneum

Joyce Ann (Paradise) Summers, 87, of Herculaneum died Jan. 10, 2022, in De Soto. Mrs. Summers was retired. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Festus. Born Oct. 27, 1934, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Jeanette Burger and Frederick Paradise.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Virgil Summers Sr.

She is survived by a son: Virgil Summers Jr. of De Soto; three daughters: Christine Armstrong of St. Louis, Diane Fox of De Soto, Sharon Bemmerzouk of Lorton, Va.; nine grandchildren: Michael, David, Shawn, Ted, Rob, Samantha, Kenny, Mariem, Nayla; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Beverly Dynes.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral services at 11 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 16) at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A private burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Homes.
