Joy L. Smith, 69, Desloge

Joy L. Smith, 69, of Desloge died June 14, 2022, in Desloge. Mrs. Smith worked in housekeeping for Friendship Village. Born March 9, 1953, in Pocahontas, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Peggy (Ciscell) and Max Gross.

She is survived by her husband: David Smith of Desloge; two sons: David Smith Jr. of Dixon and Robert (Kelly) Smith of De Soto; a sister: Rhonda (David) Clifford of Bonne Terre; a daughter-in-law: Stefanie Smith of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren: Kayleen (Corey) Cooper of Ste. Genevieve, Darrell (Courtney) Smith Jr. of St. Louis, Kelcee Smith of De Soto, Dominic Smith and Jerord (Tiffany) Livingston, both of Copperas Cove, Texas, Robbie Smith Jr. of De Soto, and Cody, Cheyenne and Tyler Smith, all of Festus; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons: David and Darrell Smith; two siblings: Michael Gross and Theresa Haus; and a granddaughter: Kymber Smith.

Services and burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
