Joseph M. Burgio Jr., 65, of Park Hills died June 25, 2015, in Park Hills. Mr. Burgio was a retired machinist with Boeing. Born March 1, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Joseph M. Burgio Sr., Leta H. (Fuller) Burgio and Eleanor Burgio.
He is survived by a daughter: Sonya (Michael) Murdick of Park Hills; two sons: Joseph M. Burgio III of Trenton and Jason P. Burgio of Park Hills; four grandchildren: Ashley Burgio of Ironton, Heather Thompson of Park Hills, Brandon Burgio of Park Hills and Christian Murdick of Park Hills; two great-granddaughters: Hailey and Elizabeth Clark; six sisters: Madelene (Dave) Pettibone of Hillsboro, Tina (Robert) Clark of Hillsboro; Mary (Dennis) Holst of Hillsboro, Joanne (Robert) Huber of St. Louis, Leta (Michael) Jones of Hillsboro and Josephine Burgio of Festus; and two brothers: Tony (Eunice) Burgio of Hillsboro and David (Laura) Burgio of Hillsboro.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 N. Fourth, in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 29, at the funeral home. Burial is in the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
