Joseph Francis Peery Sr., 47, of Festus died May 22, 2015, in Iron County. Mr. Peery was a service technician for Burner Design & Control in St. Louis. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. Born Aug. 7, 1967, in Festus, he was the son of Robert T. “Bob” Peery Sr. and Margaret M. “Marge” (Thomure) Peery of Festus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons: Joseph F. Peery Jr., Nicholas Peery and Anthony Peery, all of Festus; four brothers: Robert T. “Bob” (Dawn) Peery Jr. of Crystal City, Christopher (Becky) Peery of Murphysboro, Tenn., Jason (Jean) Peery of Bloomsdale and Marcus (Patty) Peery of Herculaneum; and his companion: Crystal VanDyke of Festus.
Memorial visitation is at 5 p.m. and a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink of Sacred Heart Church. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church or in the form of Masses in his memory.
