Johnine A. Ellis, 75, Cedar Hill

Johnine A. Ellis, 75, of Cedar Hill died Sept. 16, 2021, in High Ridge. Mrs. Ellis enjoyed going to church, Pilates workouts and spending time with her family. Born Dec. 12, 1945, in Vallejo, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Marie (Erkmann) Buese.

She is survived by her husband: Leonard D. Ellis; a daughter: Tracy (Gary) Humphrey of Robertsville; a son: Marty (Mary) Ellis of Herculaneum; a brother: Bill (Lisa) Buese of Olathe, Kan.; a sister: Charline (the late Paul) Perry of High Ridge; five grandchildren: Tim and Alex Burke, Alyssa Humphrey, Ashley Covach and Crysta Ellis; and several great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 30) at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
