Johnathan Scott Ward, 26, of Hillsboro died Jan. 14, 2021. Mr. Ward was a 2012 graduate of Hillsboro High School, where he played junior varsity football. He enjoyed family gatherings and making people laugh. Born July 20, 1994, in St. Louis, he was the son of Sherri (Snyder) and John S. Ward of Hillsboro.
He is survived by his sister: Heather (Matt) Adams of Pevely; a niece: Alyssa Adams; and a grandfather: F.A. Snyder of Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Jack and Shirley Ward; and maternal grandmother: Karon Campise.
Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
