John Winston Brooks Jr., 53, of High Ridge died Nov 1, 2020, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mr. Brooks was a machinist and a computer enthusiast who held an associate degree in business from the University of Phoenix. He loved animals of all kinds, but especially St. Bernard dogs, and was the proud owner of four of them throughout the years. He was a strong, gifted, artistic man with a gentle soul, a believer in being kind to everyone he met and yet quite the trickster. He had a love for all things Halloween and also loved Christmas, Elvis Presley, WWE/WCW/ECW wrestling organizations, MMA fighting, 80s hair bands, classic cars and above all else, his family. Born Jun 11, 1967, in St. Louis, he was the son of Joan (Bryant) Brooks and the late John W. Brooks Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister: Jamie Brooks; his best friends: former wife Lori Princivalli and Nancy (Knight) Brooks; two daughters: Ashley (Travis) Princivalli Wheeler and Erin Tynes; two granddaughters: Piper Roberts and Willow Boelling; three grandsons: Derrick Renfro, Brendam Wheeler and Grayson Wheeler; a niece: Scarlett Brooks-Sanders; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: John Aaron Brooks.
Memorials may be made to the Illinois St. Bernard Rescue, 3328 Mars Ave, Springfield, IL 62707; or Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Arrangements were under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
