John W. Pratt II, 57, of St. Louis died May 13, 2026, at Mercy Hospital South in South St. Louis County. Mr. Pratt was a maintenance worker for Canyon Creek Apartments in South County. He enjoyed fixing things and working on complex puzzles. Born Feb. 3, 1969, in Potosi, he was the son of Ethel (Wideman) Pratt of De Soto and the late John Wayne Pratt.
He is survived by two siblings: Cheryl (Kevin) Staley of Columbus, Ind., and Diane (Matt) Bequette of Farmington; a niece: Mackenzie (Kevin) Nappier; three nephews: Matthew (Theresa) Dickemann, Brandon (Amanda) Sloss and Christopher (Amanda) Pratt; eight great-nieces and nephews: Charlie Mae, Theodore, Kylie, Conner, Ethan, Caden, Jolene and Adeline; and his pit bull boxer mix: Parker.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a niece: Mary Dickemann.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto.
