John Joseph Wedde, 57, of Festus died Jan. 23, 2019, in southern Jefferson County. Mr. Wedde was a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed working on and racing stock cars and spending time in his shop. Born Jan. 7, 1962, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Norma Jean (Thompson) and Harvey Leroy Wedde Sr.
He is survived by a son: John Wedde of Bloomsdale; a daughter: Justine L. Wedde of De Soto; a brother: Harvey L. (Deborah) Wedde Jr. of De Soto; and a grandson: Dylan Koenig.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
