John “Jack” William Hardy, 82, of High Ridge died Oct. 25, 2020, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. A 1956 graduate of South Lincoln High School, Mr. Hardy completed electronics trade school and served years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a longtime electrical draftsman at Monsanto before retiring from Sachs Electric. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed model railroading, travel and genealogy. Born March 1, 1938, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Lydia (Felske) and William Hardy.

He is survived by his wife: Marion “MeMe” (Sneed) Faye Hardy; two daughters: Kimberly Kay (Todd) Hasty and Jennifer Renee Hardy; a stepdaughter: MeMe Mechelle Sneed; four grandchildren: Sarah, Ryan, Jared and Avery; a sister: Virginia “Ginny” (Richard) Reid; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 43 years: Juanita Frances Hardy; a daughter: Deborah Kay; a granddaughter: Amanda Wright; and a nephew: Jason Kemp.

A memorial celebration will be held later at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, with a virtual viewing at its website. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 500 Meramec Blvd, in Eureka; or to St. Louis ARC, 1177 N. Warson Road, St. Louis 63132. Arrangements are under the direction of Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
