John “Johnny” or “Guido’ Brian Kolf, 55, of St. Louis, died July 17, 2021. Mr. Kolf worked for more than 20 years at the Clarkson Wilson Veterinary Clinic and did lighting and sound for the band Stranded Lads. He loved animals, particularly tarantulas and cats, cooking, growing herbs and vegetables and visiting reptile shows and practicing soccer and softball with his daughters.
He is survived by his mother: Judith (Gonos) Kolf; two daughters, Julianna and Isabella Kolf; their mother, Marcie Richter Kolf; four siblings: Cheryl Kolf (Richard) Feldhaus, Lesa Kolf (Richard) Krite, Gina Kolf (Michael) Stahl and Ken Kolf; and nieces and nephews: Amanda and Richie Feldhaus, Brendan and Ryan Krite; Ashley (Connor) Saucier, Matt (Laura) and Adam Stahl and Ken and Sara Kolf.
He was preceded in death by his father: Victor A. Kolf.
Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Zoo or the Endangered Wolf Center.
A celebration of life will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at Windy Hills Hall, 8343 Hwy. B, Cedar Hill.
