John E. Thomas, 86, of Arnold died Sept. 14, 2022, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Thomas worked for General Motors and had served in the U.S. Navy. Born June 17, 1936, in Linn, he was the son of the late Eliza (Mantle) and Ray Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Rosemarie (Davis) Thomas; two children: Marty (Carol) Thomas of Imperial and Jason (Michelle) Thomas of Waterloo, Ill.; a brother: Jerry (Kathy) Thomas of Holts Summit; and four grandchildren: Danielle, Joshua, Sam and Lani Thomas.
He was preceded in death by five brothers: Lawrence, Omar, Harry, Ray Jr. and Robert Thomas; and three sisters: Georgia Stuesse, Evelyn Thomas and Dixie Thomas.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 3, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County, immediately followed by funeral services. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
