John David Logsdon, 84, of Pevely died Feb. 26, 2022, at his home. Mr. Logsdon retired from Dow Chemical in Pevely after 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Born Feb. 14, 1938, in Pevely, he was the son of the late Drusilla Ruth (Dickerson) and Howard Ezra Logsdon.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Marion (Reece) Logsdon of Pevely; two children: Jeff (Joan) Logsdon and Denise (Mac) Work; a brother: Walter “Duke” (Barb) Logsdon; five grandchildren: Ashley (Mitchell) Cole, Kyle (Kara) Sullivan, Matt Logsdon, Cody Sullivan and Kristi Nickless; and five great-grandchildren: Chandler, Kylar, Keaton, Grace and JT.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Pamela; six siblings: Violet, Paul, Pearl, Roy, Randal and Dolly June; and a granddaughter: Kayla McNamara.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Pevely or to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
