Joe Wayne Campbell, 67, of Herculaneum died Dec. 15, 2022, at Scenic Nursing Center in Herculaneum. Mr. Campbell worked as a construction laborer. He loved hunting and fishing, and was known for his infectious sense of humor and his ability to fry the best catfish around. Born Dec. 14, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Genora Bea (Vaughn) and Norman Stanley Campbell.
He is survived by a son: Joe (Trisha) Campbell Jr. of Bonne Terre; two daughters: Ashley Edwards and Danielle Marquardt, both of Troy; a sister: Diane Blacksher of Herculaneum; seven grandchildren; a special aunt: Linde Cade of Poplar Bluff; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother: Michael Campbell.
Funeral services were private. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
