JoAnn Ruth-Lee, 79, Imperial

JoAnn Ruth-Lee, 79, of Imperial died April 3, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Ruth-Lee was retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for always putting others first. Born Nov. 5, 1942, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Burnadine (Brooks) Hodge.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years: Joseph A. Lee; two sons: John (Liz Potts) Ruth of St. Ann and Donald (Rebecca) Ruth Jr. of Jefferson City; a sister: DeLora (Kenneth) Girdner of Festus; two sisters-in-law: Charlotte Hodge of Festus and Willa Lee of O’Fallon; two brothers-in-law: Richard and Robert Lee, both of St. Louis; three granddaughters: Lauren (Nate Jones) Ruth of St. Louis, Melissa Ruth of Festus and Gabrielle Ruth of Springfield; a great-granddaughter: Adalyn; an ex-daughter-in-law: Kelly (Rich) Croom; four nieces: Penny (Doug) Eisenhauer, Michele (Larry) Schoettle, Tammy McCollum and Cheri Hodge; three nephews: Jeff Hodge, Michael (Tina) Girdner and Joe Hodge; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Harold D. and Robert W. Hodge; and two brothers-in-law: Eugene Lee and Ben Lee Jr.

A private memorial service will be held later. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Cypress Pointe Cremation in St. Louis.
