Joan Lane, 93, of Festus died Oct. 5, 2021, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Home in Festus. Born June 5, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, she was the daughter of the late Alma (Vandeven) Haas and Alvin Haas.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Dr. Joseph Reginald Lane.
She is survived by a son: Laurence Brandon (Mary Jane) Lane of Festus; a daughter: Stephanie Ann (Dale) Elletson of Columbia; a brother: Kenneth Haas of Cape Girardeau; a sister-in-law: JoEllen Haas of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren: Bryan (Krista) Lane, Melissa Lane, Dane (Robin) Elletson and Nathan Elletson; and six great-grandchildren: Brandon Joseph (fiance Kaylee) Lane, Addyson Jean Lane, Spencer Joseph Lane, Alex Elletson, Noah Elletson and Lucy Elletson.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Alvin (the late Betty) Haas, Harold (the late Mary Frances) Haas and John Haas; a sister: Lucille (the late Virgil) Christoff; and a sister-in-law: Juanita Haas.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Our Lady Catholic Church, 1550 St. Mary’s Lane, in Festus, followed immediately by funeral Mass officiated by Father Gregory Klump. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus.
