Jo Strange, 81, of Hillsboro died May 1, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Strange was a legal secretary in the trademark law dept. at Ralston Purina for 45 years and an avid fan of Cardinal baseball and Dallas Cowboys football. Born May 6, 1935, in Cherryville, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Minnie E. (Harris) Gibbs. She was preceded in death by her husband: Johnnie G. Strange.
She is survived by one son: Roger Strange of Hillsboro; one grandson: Samuel James Strange of House Springs; two brothers: Claride (Joyce) Gibbs of Dillard and Tommy (Phyllis) Gibbs of Viburnum; and three sisters: Loretta (Jesse) Howdeshell of St. Louis, Nellie (the late Loren) Willheit of Cherryville and Margaret.
She was also preceded in death by her step-mother: Irene Gibbs; four brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, May 8, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave, in Festus. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, May 8, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, officiated by Pastor Randy Gray. Burial will be at Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Radiant Life Church, 11533 Gamel Cemetery Road, Festus, MO 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
