Jimmie C. Turner, 62, of De Soto died June 2, 2022, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mr. Turner was a Baptist minister and the former director of maintenance for the Hillsboro R-3 School District. He born July 31, 1959, in Kansas City, the son of the late Charles E. and Virginia Marie (Lloyd) Turner.
He is survived by his wife: Susan “Susie” (Huskey) Turner of De Soto; two stepdaughters: Deanna (Brent) Diebold of Arnold and Chrissy (Matt) Cain of Festus; three grandchildren: Taylor Calvert, Jacob Fears and Kaitlynn Wiley; five great-grandchildren: Blayne Calvert, Hazel Diebold, Zaiden Moser, Jett Graves and Saphire Graves; and his parents-in-law: Shirley and Kenneth Huskey of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Marie Hooss and Brenda Gau; and a brother: Gary Hull.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Hillsboro High School, 123 Leon Hall Drive, in Hillsboro, officiated by Ron Barton. There will be a private graveside service. Memorials may be made to the Hillsboro R-III Public School Foundation, 20 Hawk Drive, Hillsboro, 63050. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
