Jill Ann Sanders, 67, of Festus died Feb. 2, 2019, at St. Louis University Hospital. Mrs. Sanders attended beauty college after graduating from Herculaneum High School and later worked for Walmart in Festus. She loved rock music and attended many concerts over the years, her favorite being the Beatles. She loved celebrating the holidays, and is remembered as a devoted mother and an advocate for her son, who lives with muscular dystrophy. She was born Nov. 26, 1951, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late June (Bennett) and Cecil Boyer.
She is survived by her husband: Charles Michael “Chuck” Sanders Sr.; a son: Charles Michael “Mike” Sanders Jr. of Festus; two sisters: Karen (Charles) Schultz of Festus and Janet Seachrist of Festus; a sister-in-law: Barb Boyer of Festus; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Ron Boyer.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Jim Owens. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
