Jesse Lee Hoyt, 86, of De Soto died March 1, 2017, at his home. Mr. Hoyt was a steel/mine worker with U.S. Metals and Supply. He enjoyed rides and fishing. Born June 19, 1930, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Gladys (Maloney) and Jesse F. Hoyt.
Mr. Hoyt is survived by his wife: Jean (Taylor) Hoyt of De Soto. They were married on Jan. 7, 1956, in De Soto.
Other survivors include three sons: Terry (Kim) Hoyt of De Soto, Jesse Hoyt of De Soto and Jamie (Michelle) Hoyt of Gray Summit; three daughters: Tammy (Charles) Dickey of De Soto, Jeanne (Dennis) Dirscheweit of De Soto and Tracy (Rick Goe) Tate of Wentzville; a sister: Alta Valle of Richwoods; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Marvin Hoyt and Howard Hoyt; and three sisters: Marie, Dora and Earlene.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Mahn De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main Street, with a funeral service at the chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4. Burial will be in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto.
