Jerry Bolen, 73, of De Soto died Oct. 9, 2014, at his home. Mr. Bolen was employed as an accountant with the federal government for 20 years. He owned and operated the Bolen Accounting and Tax Service in Festus and in Madison, Ala. He was a member of the Madison Baptist Church in Madison, Ala., and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Born July 5, 1941, in Morehouse, he was the son of the late George Woodrow and Ollie
Olline Becker Bolen.
He is survived by his wife, June Hardwick Bolen, whom he married June 16, 1962, in Cape Girardeau; a son: Paul (Cheryl) Bolen of Hillsboro; three daughters: Desiree (Larry)
O'Harver of De Soto, Renata (Pete) Stollhans of St. Louis and Faith (Sam) Lowe of De Soto; four brothers: Gary Bolen of St. Charles, Larry Bolen of Springfield, Mike Bolen of Sikeston and Woody Bolen of Sikeston; a sister: Linda Haley of Burbank, Calif.; and nine grandchildren: Joey Rogers, Nick Rogers, Samantha Lowe, Brandon Bolen, Zachary Bolen, Tommy Stollhans, Melanie Stollhans, Jacqui O'Harver and Jesse O’Harver.
Visitation is at 11:30 a.m. and funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, officiated by the Rev. Mike Allison. Burial is in the Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape
