Jeffrey David Logsdon, 66, of Paragould, Ark.

Jeffrey David Logsdon, 66, of Paragould, Ark., died on May 12, 2026. Mr. Logsdon graduated from Herculaneum High School in 1978 and earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology. He served in the U.S. Air Force working on electronic countermeasures for B-52 bombers. He worked for more than 28 years as an electrician at Nucor-Yamato Steel Co., where he was known for his work ethic and dedication to his craft, and then became a professor at Black River Technical College. He married Joan on July 10, 2014. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Paragould. He will be remembered for his faith, love of outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and boating activities. Born Jan. 4, 1960, in Festus, he was the son of Marion Logsdon and the late Dave Logsdon.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Joan Logsdon of Paragould, Ark.; a daughter: Ashley (Jay Phillips) Logsdon of Paragould, Ark.; a son: Matthew Logsdon of Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren: Chandler (Dayli Culbreath) Cole, Kylar (Abby Davis) Foster, Keaton Lyerly, Grace Cole, Jeffrey “J.T.” Cole, Lydia Phillips and Lincoln Phillips; a sister: Denise (Mack) Work; dear friends: Curtis Hawkins and Spencer Green; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Kayla McNamara and a sister: Pamela Logsdon.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould, Ark. A funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. Monday, May 18, officiated by Pastor Kirk Neugebauer with burial following. The family will host a memorial service in Pevely at a later date. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 829 W. Kingshighway, Paragould, AR 72450. Arrangements are under the direction of Health Funeral Home.
