Jeanette Kite, 82, of De Soto died March 31, 2019, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Kite was a homemaker who most recently worked at Jefferson Square Cleaners. Born April 29, 1936, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Olive (Winfield) and Roy Warden. She was preceded in death by her husband: Aaron “Butch” Kite.

She is survived by a son: David R. (Shirley J.) Kite of De Soto; five siblings: Etta Mae Tripp of Overbrook, Kan., Hopie (Junior) Jenkins of Belgrade, Sam (Gail) Warden of St. Louis, Dan (Shady) Warden of Lesterville and James “Bud” Warden of Hallsville; two sisters-in-law: Phyllis Warden of Cadet and Judy Warden of Washington; two grandchildren: Linda (Mike) Barnes and Cheryl (Joe) Boyer; and four great-grandchildren: Johnathon Barnes, Matthew Barnes, Gavin Boyer and Garrett Boyer.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Janice Marie Kite; three brothers: Delbert Warden, Jerry Wendell Warden and Percy Leroy Warden; two sisters: Olevia Huitt and Pauline Light; three brothers-in-law: Harel Light, David Tripp and Jess Huitt; a sister-in-law: Jean Warden; and a great-granddaughter: Emma Rose Boyer.

Visitation is at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Bruce Valle. Burial is in the Moontown Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
