Jean “Penny” (Carter) Buechting, 63, of Festus died May 1, 2017, at Big Bend Woods in Fenton. Ms. Buechting was a beautician. Born Feb. 26, 1954, in Caruthersville, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy J. (Hepler) and Leslie B. Carter.
She is survived by one daughter: Lesley Krieg of Crystal City; one son: Chris (Mandi) Buechting of Crystal City; four grandchildren: Kailey Krieg, Carter Krieg, Kadence Buechting and Trent Buechting; and one brother: Gary (Mary) Carter of Herculaneum. She was preceded in death by one sister: Marie (Ray) Drinen of Herculaneum.
Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Joshua Noah. Burial will be in Herculaneum City Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
