Jason R. Burns, 43, of Arnold died Feb. 25, 2022, at his home. Mr. Burns and his partner developed Big Show Productions together, often providing music and memories at weddings, school dances and other events. He enjoyed helping cancer benefits and local domestic violence shelter toy drives. He was proud of his “mad ninja skills” and was constantly trying to persuade someone to make him cookies. Born in St. Louis, he was the son of Cheryl McCoy and Donald (Laura) Burns.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children: Joseph “Joey” Burns and Morgan Rae Burns; their mother: Tasha Wood; two grandmothers: Joyce Russell and Alice Burns; four siblings: Holly (Matthew) Porter, Amanda Rickly, Sandy (Pete) Taylor-Davey of California and Joshua (Jessica) Taylor; and Kaylee and Kylie Wood, who affectionately referred to him as “Frank.”
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until a funeral at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A memorial gathering will follow at 6 p.m. at Amvets Post 42, 690 Joachim Ave., in Herculaneum. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
