Statler, Jarrod

Jarrod Lee Statler, 51, of Hillsboro died Sept. 20, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Statler was an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve as worked as a mechanic for Metro Bi-State. He was a member of Temple Emanuel Synagogue and enjoyed swimming, hiking, dancing and traveling. Born Jan. 19, 1970, in New York, N.Y., he was the son of the late Bernice (Kaylie) and Edward Statler.

He is survived by his life partner: Suzanne Bannister; four sons: Sidney Statler of Hillsboro, David (Marissa) Statler of New York, Keith (Caitlin) Statler of New York and Jarrod (Maddie Haines) Statler Jr. of Georgia; a daughter: Shannon Statler of Hillsboro; a sister-in-law: Patty Statler of New York; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Darryl Statler.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
