James Walter Marberry, 70, of Pevely died Jan. 8, 2021, at his home. Mr. Marberry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Herculaneum-Pevely. Born Feb. 2, 1950, in Herculaneum, he was the son of the late Grace (Oldham) and Clarence Marberry.
He is survived by his wife: Linda (McColoum) Marberry; four sons: Mike (Jennifer) Marberry of Pevely, Christopher (Desiree) Coplin of Wichita, Kan., Kevin Mathew (Susie) Marberry of Kansas City and Kevin Paul (Angie) Coplin of Pevely; two sisters: Eva Jones of Arnold and Jane (Dave) Lambert of Festus; a sister-in-law: Mary Ann Marberry of Texas; a brother-in-law: Earl Wallenbrock of Pevely; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Keith Marberry; a brother: Richard Marberry; and two sisters: Ruth Wallenbrock and Donna Boots; and a brother-in-law: Allen Jones
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, followed immediately by services officiated by Pastor Jeff Everard. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
