James W. Telken of Arnold died March 20, 2019. Mr. Telken was a lifelong educator and counselor in the St. Louis area.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Rita (Becker) Telken; four children: Steve (Darla) Telken, Mark (Julie) Telken, Lynn (Christopher) Quinlan and Matthew (Stephanie) Telken; nine grandchildren: Hannah, Maxwell, Chase, Jordan, Jared, Jaden, Avery, Maysen and Henry; three siblings: Connie (Paul) Jung, Ralph (the late Suzanne) Telken, and the Rev. Paul Telken; a sister-in-law: Mollie Telken; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Thomas Telken.
Memorial gathering is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, in Affton. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold. Memorials may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
