Pashea, James

James Pashea, 68, of Blackwell died March 3, 2022, in De Soto. Mr. Pashea owned and operated Jim Pashea Trucking. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially running his boat on the Meremac River. Born Jan. 20, 1954, in Tiff, he was the son of the late Roy John and Stella Theresa (Boyer) Pashea.

He is survived by two children: Melanie Pashea of Fenton and Jessey Pashea of De Soto; seven siblings: Rose (the late Tom) Ravenscraft of Winfield, Margie (the late John) Grovero of St. Louis, Patricia “Patty” (Wayne) Culley of Nixa, Carolyn (the late Charles) Courtaway of Mehlville, Delores (Paul) Patterson of De Soto, Audrey Rutledge of De Soto and Rhonda (Gil) Brooks of Ocala, Fla.; a sister-in-law: Theresa Pashea of Cadet; three grandchildren: Maddison (Tyler) Johnson, Emma Pashea and Benjamin Pashea; and one great-grandson: Oakley.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Roy Pashea.

A memorial gathering is scheduled from 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
